Schwinn Jogging Stroller News

You Don’t Need To Be A Supermom (or Dad)  To Own A Jogging Stroller

As recently as a couple of years ago I would have been dumbstruck if I had seen a mother puffing and panting as she ran along behind a jogging stroller and its twenty-odd pound passenger. These days though (two children  later) if I’m only pushing one child I consider it an easy day.
After baby number two came along and reached 6 months old, we traded-up to a double jogging stroller to carry our two year old and his younger sister.

It can be a daunting experience starting out with a jogging stroller. Even the thought of a gentle little jog around the block can seem scary. All these unknowns can run through your mind. Where does a non-runner begin? What is it like running without being able to move your arms? Will I be able to steer properly? Well, you’ll be glad to hear that getting started is very easy indeed and not anything you should be even the slightest bit worried about.

I think it is the high-tech look of many jogging strollers that can make them appear more like something NASA might use than the latest must-have item in baby buggies.
In actual fact, jogging strollers are far more user friendly than the older style small wheeled buggies and strollers. They are certainly much easier to push than a standard stroller, especially on uneven terrain and loose surfaces such as gravel. The reason for that is the fact that jogging strollers are fitted with three large 14 to 20 inch pneumatic tires. These make pushing even a double stroller with a full payload amazingly easy. Hills are a different story of course but hey- jogging strollers may be miraculous but they can’t do magic!

That said, I predict that if you give a jogging stroller a few runs out you will find that you never want to push a standard stroller ever again!
